Vogue Daily has a feature this summer called "What's In Your Beach Bag." Here are some of my summer essentials. I would love to know, what is in your beach bag?
Gap tote. Perfect for towels, toys, water and snacks.
I love my Calypso cover up. It is terrific for travel. The more wrinkled it gets, the better it looks! Why can't all my clothes be this way?
Bathing suit from J.Crew.
Havaianas Slim Flip Flops. There is not a day that goes by in the summer when I don't wear a pair of Havaianas. I have them in every color.
Sunscreen is at the top my summer survival list. My dermatologist swears by La Roche-Posay sunscreen. It's key ingredient, Mexoryl SX, gives the best protection from UVA/UVB rays. This ultra lightweight formula is perfect for the face.
I use this sunscreen on my body and on the kids. It too was highly recommended by my dermatologist.
Not only is this hat chic, it keeps gives my face added protection from the sun. Can you tell I am a freak about sun protection?Tom Ford sunglasses. For those on a recession budget, Target made a decent knock-off version this year.
L'Oreal Color Juice in Caramel Creme. If you like a soft, natural look then you will love this gloss. Passion Fruit is a pretty color as well.
There is nothing I love more than sitting on the shore with a good book. This summer, I highly recommend, The Help, by Kathryn Stockett. Set in the South during the Civil Rights Movement, it is a beautifully written story that is touching and thought-provoking.
